Do you have experience in the product development of high-quality food supplements? Do you like the opportunity to play a part in shaping the future of a growing company in the field of food supplements?
Allvital is looking for a professional who will organise the quality, direct procurement and development of (new) products. In this position you will work in a flat organisational structure with streamlined decision-making processes. The work environment is pleasant within a supportive team.
You will have the following three main responsibilities:
1) Product development and sourcing of suppliers / manufacturers:
- Analyse the market of food supplements, propose new product ideas and improve existing formulas;
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with manufacturers;
- Search for ingredients, packaging and production possibilities and request quotations;
- Review raw material and product specifications to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
2) Procurement:
- Manage inventory levels and implement strategies to optimise stock levels, minimise excess inventory, and prevent shortages;
- Evaluate and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline operations.
3) Quality control:
- Establish and enforce strict quality standards for all food supplements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality assurance protocols;
- Develop, implement and monitor a QMS according to the ISO 22000 standard;
- Manage QMS audits.
Who we're looking for
You have an M.Sc. in i.e. (bio)chemistry, (bio)pharmacy or nutrition with 5-10 years relevant experience in the development and launch of food supplements, OTC drugs or pharmaceuticals. You have strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
It will be an advantage if you:
- have experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the food supplements industry;
- have relevant expertise in Food Hygiene standards and HACCP systems;
- have comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements for food supplements in Europe;
- are fluent in German; as Allvital focusses on the DACH market.
