“I am a people person, I love talking with all kinds of people, starters and more experience persons on the job market. Listening carefully to what they say is already helpful for them taking the next step in their career. We take time for interviews where always 2 CLS colleagues attend. We try to get them at ease during our conversations so they can honestly share who they truly are, what ambitions they have and help them getting prepared for interviews at a company as well. I love it when candidates ask us for feedback on the interview, so they can learn and improve. It means they trust you.” Aniek Vugts has been working for CLS Services since 2018 and is still loving what she does.
Aniek: “I graduated in Life Sciences from the University of Applied Sciences in Breda with a specialisation in Molecular Biology. I did lab work at R&D Departments for several companies in Utrecht and Wageningen. When the latter moved to the other side of The Netherlands, I had to look for another job. For me, after 7 years of working, I was reflecting on my work: what will be my next step? I realized that I really like the scientific field I was working in, but I missed contact with people in my daily job. That’s when I applied for this job at CLS Services. We had a connection immediately and now I am still in the middle of developments in bio and food.
Together with Claudia, we are first point of contact for all candidates. After reviewing the responses on our vacancies, we invite a few candidates for an online interview. We have about 10 intake interviews a week. We also attend job fairs where we talk to a lot of students and starters. People find it easy to reach us or even let us know that they found a job. Some people return to us after several years when they are looking for a job again, because of the nice conversation we had at that time. We take that as a compliment.
CLS will be celebrating 20 years anniversary in 2025. In our small team we have a ton load of knowledge, background and experience in the scientific field, and human knowledge of course. Most of all we have fun working together and do our utmost for our employees and clients every day.”
