Profile

As a Quality, Environment, Safety and Health (QESH) Advisor, you will work closely with our Netherlands based Science and Innovation laboratories to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
You will inform, advise, coach, challenge and support the QESH team on all aspects of QESH to promote a secure, healthy, incident-free workplace both today and in the future.
Your key responsibilities:
  • Act as an advisor, coach and trainer for line managers in their daily activities as being a leader and a role model within the organization;
  • Act as an advisor, coach and trainer for (new) employees regarding application of QESH in their daily activities, concerning practical measures to be used in the experimental setup, as well as in relation to the workplace in labs and offices;
  • Build, maintain, manage and improve the QESH Management System;
  • Guide and support compliance to new and existing Q and SHE legislations, requirements and standards, including the execution of gap assessments, through implementation of fit-for-purpose policies, procedures and best practices;
  • Execute and guide internal and external audits, Gemba and Supervision rounds in labs and offices;
  • Execute, lead or chair SHE Risk assessments in labs and offices, such as assessments on Job Safety, Health Risks, Machine Safety (“verdiepende machine-RI&E”), TIER-2 exposure at the workplace and the ‘Risk Inventory- and Evaluation’ (RI&E);
  • Lead & report Root Cause Analysis to determine the causes leading to QESH incidents and to gather effective solutions;
  • Be a member of the Management of Change team: provide input on SHE and Q for changes to buildings, utilities, equipment, processes and ICT hard- and software;
  • Contribute to the development and management of platforms, applications, databases, and SharePoint sites for documentation of QESH related data, a.o. procedures, substance data, inspections, training matrixes, in line with Q and SHE requirements..

Who we're looking for

You bring a detailed and analytical understanding about what it takes to work as a QESH advisor in a demanding laboratory and offices organisation. You have relevant QESH experience in the industry preferably food or biotech). Additionally, you have experience with stoffenmanager, machine safety and/or chemical safety. Speaking and writing in both Dutch and English in obliged for this role. Of course, you have excellent communication skills and are able to work in multidisciplinary teams.
